Candy and wine pairings are a new tasting trend
With the persistence of the Covid-19 pandemic, Canada’s
beverage alcohol producers continue to see the can-cellation
of festivals and other social events. Tradi-tionally,
it’s during these events that many producers introduce
new products, network with fellow industry members and meet
their customers. As most industries, Canadian alcohol producers
have pivoted to the digital world to connect with customers and
industry peers.
The difficulty of standing out from the crowd is nothing new
for Canada’s producers who jostle for space on liquor store shelves.
However, after a year of virtual meetings, many are looking for
out-of-the-box ways to connect. Surprisingly, the answer might be
inside the box – a Sugarwish box that is.
What is Sugarwish?
Launched as a unique gifting concept, a Sugarwish can be sent to an
individual or en masse as a corporate gifting option. It is a curated
candy box, beautifully packaged with convenient grab-and-go-style
bags that are packed with the receivers’ favourite candies.
How does it work?
Sugarwishes are available in four Personal Sizes (ranging from
two to 16 favourite flavours) and three sizes of Sweet Shops (three
to 14 flavours, with 25 to 100 bags, plus scoop). The sender can
either select the treats to be included – perfect for a virtual wine
and candy pairing event – or allow the recipient to select their
favourite treats. At any time, over 70 candy varieties are available
to choose from, including classic favourites and special, seasonal
offerings that range from sweet to savoury.
A free Corporate Account is available, which makes corpo-rate
gifting simple for any company. With a Corporate Account,
Sugarwishes can be branded, among other benefits.
Producers will want to keep their eye out for Sugarwish
Snacks, launching soon.
Of course, the outside-the-box thinking doesn’t stop with
wine and candy pairings. Perhaps beer and nut pairings, or spir-its
and sweets pairings are on order to launch a new product
this summer?
